April 10, 2008. Left Tinky Reyes (cq) was among family , friends and members of Elite Bikers, gathered at Slauson and the 110 freeway for a candle light vigil in honor of Samantha Padilla, 19, of Los Angeles. Padilla was a member of the motorcycle group Elite Bikers. About 100 people attended the vigil. Padilla was fatally shot early Thursday on a 110 Freeway off ramp in South Los Angeles, authorities said. The shooting marked the latest in a string on area highways but police said Thursday that they continue to believe that the incidents are unrelated. The attack occurred as Samantha Padilla, 19, of Los Angeles was exiting the northbound Harbor Freeway at West Slauson Avenue shortly after midnight, Los Angeles police said. A brown Ford Bronco, either a 1990 or 1991 model, pulled up to Padillas car at a stop light after she had exited the freeway, and someone inside opened fire, said Richard French, an LAPD spokesman.
