Perri Garner, left, and Linda Temko, her mother, right, give each other al hug before Ronald Jay Temko was discharged from UCSF Mount Zion Hospital, after being hospitalized for over 61 days with COVID-19 in San Francisco. Calif., on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Temko was in a coma for 21 days, on a ventilator for 34 days, and had a feeding tube for 40 days. Despite all the odds, he is now up and walking, as mentally sharp as ever, and beyond grateful to be alive. He will now get to walk his daughter down the aisle, hold his new baby granddaughter, and teach his grandson how to play golf.
