A tourist stands next to the huge stone-made replica of legendary King Arthur�s sword in the stone in southern Croatian coastal town of Podstrana, some 400 kilometers from capital Zagreb, on November 30, 2009. The local authorities are trying to capitalize on the theory that the tomb of the legendary King Arthur is located nearby. The aim is backed by John Matthews, a renowned British historian who is the first to promote the theory that King Arthur was a Roman warrior, Lucius Artorius Castus, who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defence of Britain against the Saxon invaders in the early 6th century, and was later buried in Podstrana. In the nearby�s church of Saint Martin copy of a sarcophagus of a roman general Lucius Artorius Castus, which is thought to be a legendary King Arthur, can be seen, as the original was removed for carbon-testing. The town of Podstrana, however, is already attracting thousands of tourists to performances based on the legend of King Arthur.
