South Africa's Heritage Wine Estate Klein Constantia

Klein Constantia dates back to 1685 when Simon van der Stel, the first Governor of the Dutch Cape Colony, established his farm “Constantia” on the upper foothills of the Constantiaberg with its dramatic views across False Bay. The vineyards, facing mostly south to east at heights between 70 to 343 metres above sea level, are cooled by the ocean breezes. The estate is known primarily for its acclaimed Muscat de Frontignan Vin de Constance naturally sweet dessert wine and its range of award-winning Sauvignon Blanc white wines.
