Inside a cell nucleus - Vídeo de acervo HD

"Animation of the anatomy of the nucleus of a typical human cell. The nucleus contains a cell's genetic information. It is separated from the rest of the cell by the nuclear membrane, which is studded with pores. These allow proteins and RNA templates out of the nucleus to be processed by cellular machinery. They also permit lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and signalling molecules into the nucleus. Inside the nucleus, the DNA genetic material is stored as long threads of a structure called chromatin. Chromatin is made up of strands of DNA (beige) wound around disc-shaped proteins called histones (purple). The structure of chromatin allows a huge length of DNA to be wound into a much denser structure. This animation is available with structures labelled. See K005/0833."
