Have a large number of regiments where I'm colonel in chief.... While my people are out here I wanted to see them, sadly has been difficult up until this time, thrilled to have got here at last, wanted to see the kind of conditions they were in and take an interest and encourage, also this time I was glad I was able to meet all those people in Kabul who do incredible work there, provincial reconstruction team do amazing job, often unseen and unheard, ... all those people are extraordinary, I just wanted to come and say thank you and well done - Was glad to have got to Kabul and see something of that, also wanted to see this project we started about 5 years ago called Turquoise Mountain Foundation [TMF], President Karzai and me are joint patrons, Rory Stewart [Executive Chairman, TMF] has done fantastic job, thrilled to get to old historic part of Kabul.... Education projects, health care, sewage, everything... Sadly wasn't able to get to other parts of the country... Sat down with some religious leaders...
