Famed Fukuoka festival continues as men rush 1-ton float through city’s streets

Video footage taken on July11 in Fukuoka shows a team made up of dozens of men carrying a large decorated float as they run through the city’s streets during the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival. The team, one of several taking part in the festival, chanted and were splashed with water along the route as they shouldered their float made heavy by lavish Kabuki-themed ornaments.
