New York Congressman Paul Tonko says at a hearing with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt before a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee he knew many career employees who want to ensure clean air and water but the agency's political leadership was pursuing a different agenda with ethics violations at the highest level that could not go on scrutinized and all should be troubled by numerous reports of misuse of taxpayer dollars and conflicts of interest made by the administrator, a frequent subject of investigation.
